The Fair Trade and Sustainable Week is coming back to UGent!

Fair Trade stands for the just trade of products that are made with fair wages, decent working conditions, and in an environmentally responsible way. Every March, Ghent University organizes a week dedicated to these ideas and practices. In 2026, this week will, for the first time, also include the broader theme of sustainability.

Between March 23rd and 27th, you can explore Fair Trade and Sustainability at various events — movie screenings, cook-offs, theatre, lectures, markets and a lot more. Come by and enjoy fair trade and sustainability in action!

Participation: Most events are free but require registration. Make sure to check the event details and secure your spot!
